General conditions

SECRET LANKA PTE. LTD. operates as an independent tour operator within Sri Lanka.
A non refundable 10% deposit is required for confirmation of your booking.
Complete payment must reach us 60 days before your arrival.
Payments have to reach SECRET LANKA PTE. LTD. bank account in Sri Lanka, or, alternatively, on the bank accounts of our travel agent Camponovo Law GmbH, Klingenstrasse 37, CH-8005 Zürich.
Because of the nature of hotels and the travel industry, it is not always possible to secure the hotels and lodges listed in the itinerary. Secret Lanka will endeavour to secure the hotels listed in the itinerary. However, Secret Lanka reserves the right to secure the next best available option or an upgrade in the event that the original hotels are not available or overbooked.
Charges for last minute cancellations are as follows:
- Cancellation up to 30 days before arrival: payment of 10% of the total bill (=refund of 90%).
- Cancellation up to 15 days before arrival: payment of 30% of the total bill (=refund of 70%).
- Cancellation up to 5 days before arrival: payment of 60% of the total bill (=refund of 40%).
- Cancellation up to 3 days before arrival: payment of 75% of the total bill (=refund of 25%).
- Cancellation less than 3 days or "non presentation": payment of 90% of the total bill (=refund of 10%).
- During high season or in special events (festival, sport events, etc.) different provvisions may apply.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by an agent of SECRET LANKA PTE. LTD. and will receive all travel documents if needed and agreed upon.
SECRET LANKA PTE. LTD. accepts responsibility to supply all agreed services, e.g. car rental, entrance fees etc.
In the event of disruption, cancellation or changes caused by events outside our control, SECRET LANKA PTE. LTD. will do its best to organise an equivalent alternative program. SECRET LANKA PTE. LTD. Is unable to offer a reimbursement in these circumstances. Also any additional costs incurred will be the responsibility of the customer.
If the customer decides to interrupt the tour during the trip for whatever reasons (health, business, family affairs) SECRET LANKA PTE. LTD. can?t reimburse any part of the tour. If the customer decides to change the itinerary of the tour after it was already firmly booked, SECRET LANKA PTE. LTD. Reserve the right to charge a supplementary handling fee, besides additional costs that might occur for the changed itinerary. SECRET LANKA PTE. LTD. cannot be held responsible and SECRET LANKA PTE. LTD. does not accept liability whatsoever for any loss or damage to personal property. SECRET LANKA PTE. LTD. highly recommends its customers to take out insurance against such eventualities.
Please be aware that the hotel standard in Sri Lanka is not the same as in Europe or the USA. SECRET LANKA PTE. LTD. cannot be held responsible for this. If there should be any complaints about hotels or local service providers during the tour, SECRET LANKA PTE. LTD. shall do its best in order to solve the issues arising, though there is no warranty that the issues will be solved.
In case of dispute, SECRET LANKA PTE. LTD. will attempt to come to a mutually agreeable conclusion in a diplomatic and friendly way with its customers. Failing this, law court is Colombo.
